Rev Dr. Mitzi Lynton is an eclectic mix of loving compassion, outrageous joy, energetic enthusiasm, all seasoned with a dab of red hot tamale.
Many moons ago, Mitzi Tangoed into an ice-dancing career, Foxtrotted into a BA and MA in English and Waltzed into all sorts of fancy sounding ministerial titles. Since trading ice-skates for ballroom shoes, Mitzi Quicksteps as the founding minister of God Together, a spiritual community that meets at Fatcat Ballroom in Phoenix, Rumbas as Vice-President of the Board of the Arizona Interfaith Movement, and Cha-Chas as she coaches people to a life of joy and success.
Formerly she served as the lead minister of All Faiths Church in Sun Lakes for 2 years and then as the Congregant Care minister at Creative Living Fellowship for 8 years. Whatever dance she’s doing, Mitzi strives to live from her personal motto: “Dare2create a life you love and a world you desire to live in.”
Rev. Michelle Abraham has been an Inspirational Speaker and Spiritual Coach since 1993. Her personal life’s mission is to create an inspiring, loving and comfortable space where individuals can realize and live their full potential. “One of the greatest gifts is witnessing their inner-light turn on and seeing them excelling in areas they never imagined possible!” Her desire to help others has led her to becoming a Licensed Unity Teacher of Adult Education and an Ordained New Thought Minister. In addition, before and after becoming a member of Unity of Phoenix in 2004, she has served in many volunteer positions, including an usher/greeter, Prayer Chaplain, courtyard volunteer, staff role as Volunteer/Outreach Coordinator and staff role of Spiritual Education and Special Events Coordinator.
Betty Bennett is a Licensed Unity Teacher, a Spirit-Centered Life Coach, and an experienced group facilitator, trainer and speaker who has been in Unity since 2004. She served for 5 years as Worship Coordinator at Unity of Phoenix.
With a bachelor’s degree in music education from Grand Canyon University and an MBA in strategic planning and marketing communications from Arizona State University, her experiences have led her through positions in Washington, D.C. and Arizona State Government, including the Arizona Governor’s Office. She has been a hospital planning and marketing director, a fine arts events manager, a political consultant, and a public school teacher and professional singer.
Betty’s intention is always to touch hearts and help people change their lives by moving on from their ‘stuckness’. She currently speaks and facilitates classes and workshops in churches throughout Unity’s Southwest Region and serves as part-time Spiritual Leader for Unity Center of the Desert in Yuma.
Her mission is to live from within out, to live every day in gratitude and to serve wherever Spirit may lead.
Rev. James Betz received his degree in inter-personal and public relations from Brigham Young University with a minor in sociology. He has also served as a missionary. James is dedicated to helping people of all walks of life, especially those who are searching to find their true path. In 2005, he founded the Arizona Alternative Healing Center. Especially dear to his heart is the Lodestar Campus and Shelter located in downtown Phoenix, where he coordinates donations of water, blankets, and other items needed by our city’s homeless community. In addition, James is an intuitive channel, psychic reader and an accomplished leader of healing meditations using crystal bowls.
Rev. Zephryn Conte is the Music Director for Unity of Tempe since 2004. A nationally published author/composer, multi-faceted performing artist and transformational educator, Zephryn is an ordained Priest in the Order of Melchizedek (1992) and holds an MA in Education (NYU). Her secular ministry has included 2 national Professional Development programs and extensive travel as a subject matter expert in conflict resolution, cultural competence and creativity performance. She is a published ASCAP composer with a library of broadcast music currently on air. Through her consulting company Environarts, Inc. she presents transformational seminars and offers personal growth workshops and private coaching. Zephryn’s call is to share her gifts and passion for a peaceable world by tapping into the unlimited creative substance all humans share and using the uplifting power of the arts to heal, bridge differences and build healthy communities.
Rev. Dr. Patrician Edwards’ lifelong quest is understanding our connection with the Divine. Her studies have included a Masters degree in Counseling, many, many church related classes, a third of a Masters degree in Theology, and teacher certification. She is an ordained New Thought Minister, and she received her doctorate in Spiritual Studies from Emerson University in 2014.
Re. Patrician’s life’s purpose is to help people realize that they are beloved and cherished by God. The second part of her life’s mission is to empower people. To help people recognize that their special talents are God’s gift to the world through them. We are all here to implement Jesus’ prayer, “Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Rev. Julia Francis is an ordained New Thought minister and has been a truth student for almost 30 years. Her lifelong mission has been to learn to enjoy every moment of life and support others in doing the same!
Rev. Kent Rini is a nationally recognized motivational speaker and humorist. He is active in both regional and national charitable events acting as Master of Ceremonies. His credentials include Founder, President, and Dean of University of Dreams.
Maureen G. Mulvaney, better known as MGM, is the Unity of Tempe Love Board President. As an Internationally known Professional Speaker and Amazon Best Seller Author, MGM stepped into service for Unity of Tempe with an array of leadership skills and a 30-year background in Metaphysics. Her mission has been to serve and send every board decision through a filter of Love, Kindness, Gratitude and Prosperity.
Lori is happy to be serving as Vice President on the founding board of Unity of Tempe. Lori’s involvement in the Unity Movement since 1995 includes that of spiritual educator, youth ministry leader, meditation and prayer lead, oneness blessing giver, Quest facilitator, women’s leadership team, member of the Arizona Interfaith Movement and founding member of Unity of Divine Love and Unity of Tempe. Lori is a Real Estate Broker for Souza Group Real Estate and coaches and trains those starting their own business. She also teaches at the Arizona School of Business and Real Estate.
Emeritus- Linda Juralewicz has lovely served as Treasurer on of Unity of Tempe for the past three years. She truly believes that as a member of this Love Board, we will continue to demonstrate the principles of Love, Kindness, Gratitude and Prosperity. Unity of Tempe will continue to grow and manifest into a spiritual center that serves all who are looking for spiritual enrichment and a path for spiritual living and connection with like-minded people. Linda and her husband Bob have moved to Prescott Valley in their retirement and is available to support to those who continue to maintain the future goals of our beloved Unity of Tempe.
